As a new Author and with no prior experience or knowledge of the writing world, I'm beginning to learn how difficult it really is to have people know about your book. It's frustrating when people take the time to buy my book, read it and then drop me a note or give me a call to say how much they enjoyed the read. I can't say enough on how much that really means and how much I appreciate this kindness and support.
The tough part now is...how does the rest of the world out there find out about my new novel, Hoodoo Sea? I wish I had the answer, or more importantly, the magic pill with the simple solution. I decided today to seek and secure help in promoting my new book. Honestly, don't know if it will actually work. I hope so. I'm told virtual book tours are as good, if not better than traditional book tours.
Hoodoo Sea and I are about to go on a virtual voyage starting October 1, 2009. My Captain, Ms. Tracee Gleichner, is preparing the agenda for our journey. Like any trip I embark upon, my adrenaline is on overdrive and I'm anxious to see where we will end up. If you decide to follow the adventures of Hoodoo Sea this fall, check out our agenda at http://www.hoodoosea.com/. I will try my best to keep you posted with my thoughts as a new Author.
