Melva's mantra, "make a difference" is the key to all of her long-term relationships.  That philosophy also permeates her personal life.  After years of living in Vancouver, Melva and her husband of 25 years moved back to Winnipeg to be closer to family.  They bought a 100-year-old house in Norwood Grove--not far from the neighbourhoods in which they grew up--and are having fun renovating and gardening again.  They are both committed to ex-racing Greyhound rescue.  Melva also volunteers her time with several arts groups and is passionate about the preservation of Manitoba history and heritage.
